We have worked closely with Sheri Downer since 1994 when we opened our first Hotel du Vin in Winchester. During the past 26 years we have created from scratch approximately 20 hotels and hospitality projects in the UK and France, we have also undertaken a number of personal projects. Sheri Downer and her team have worked on each one of these projects and in fact is the only sub-contractor we have, that has worked with us continually during this 26 year journey…… I was trying to estimate how many pairs of curtains, sheers and cushions they have made and hung for us in that time, but this is impossible to calculate with any accuracy, I can say it runs into several thousand individual pieces of work.

The reason we return to Downers time and time again, is quite simply they are the best in the business. The quality of their work, their attention to detail and their problem solving are exceptional. Furthermore in all those years they have never let us down on hitting a deadline, indeed sometimes through no fault of their own being forced to work in unfinished areas whilst other trades play catch up around them. Sheri also has a very good design ‘eye’.

There are very few contractors that I would give a glowing reference for without some caveats, the exception to this rule is Sheri Downer and Downers Design, I not only whole heartedly recommend them for any hospitality or domestic project, I would go so far as saying I would find it hard contemplate one of our projects without them on the team.
